1978 J.A. Severn Pty Ltd was founded by Mr John Severn with the objective of importing and distributing high quality components and products to the electronics industry, throughout Australia and New Zealand.
1986 The Company was purchased by Gordon & Glenn Clarke and following some restructuring, the trading name was changed to Clarke and Severn Electronics to improve industry identification with the company's activities.
2005 Retirement of Company family members saw Glenn Clarke acquire the majority shareholding.
2012 The Company expanded into Cable & Product Assembly – acquiring Summit Data Cables, which had a strong reputation in the industry for over 25 years.
2013 The Company added Overmolding to its list of capabilities.
2015 The Company acquired its second Overmolding Machine.
2016 Our Cable & Product Assembly team became IPC-WHMA-A-620B Certified Application Specialists
2017 We acquired a third Overmolding Machine.
2018 The Company gained ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Assurance Accreditation and acquired a fourth Overmolding Machine.
2019 The Company expanded the Production area by moving the Warehouse to another Unit within its premises.
2020 The Company expanded production and storage into unit P4 within it's complex.
The Company continues to expand in new directions to take advantage of emerging markets, utilizing it's experience, product knowledge and quality systems to provide Solutions That Fit - All From One Source.
